Steelhead 2013
I made it up twice for steel head this year. Once in early Nov the second time after Thanksgiving. What a difference in temperature! This was the first time I had seen my waders freeze solid. Fishing with family and friends is always fun no matter what the weather. While the water was high on the first round of fishing I managed to bank a rainbow and a steel-head on flies tied by my daughter. Very cool! Cant wait to get back up and wet another line.

Fall Bass
Tim Ramy and Kristin with some Round Valley fish
Tim and Ramy hit Round Valley for some lake trout just before the season closed. These were caught while anchored on a windy day. Great Job Guys.
Busy Last 2 Weeks
Fishing Reports from around NJ
As I was at home doing yard work, my phone would not stopping alerting me of text messages, each one with a different friend and a new fish story. So here are the reports from around NJ this past weekend. Tim and Ramos fished Round Valley anchored with shiners. They managed to boat 3 lake trout and a 16" rainbow. Ron T fished Spruce Run with large shiners and managed to reel in that nice Hybrid. Lastly Capt Dave with George on Thursday and Cat. Dave with Jr on Saturday pounded the bay for Striped Bass. They boated 3 on Thursday and another 4 on Saturday.

The one that almost got away!
Fished Friday in the South Branch of the Raritan River with my Dad and Son Matty his first time to the river. Had a monster rainbow on, lost him at the bank. Big disappointed. So I went back Monday for another go at the beast. And I landed him this time. It was bigger than i thought. 26 3/4" 6.325lb with a 13.5" girth. Truly the fish of a lifetime!!!

Summer Wraps up!
As summer closes I realized I have had an awesome one when it comes to fishing. We hit Round Valley many times most of which went in the forums update pages. I managed to take my family to NY and with the help of Capt. Dave and his family I reeled in the fish pictured to the left. Then went outside of my norm and fished with Capt. Jaime of Breakline Charters for big cats. While I didn't get the 19lb hog that was boated that night i had a blast with my 6lb flatty. Thank you to all and good luck this coming fall.

My Favorite Day Fishing. Fathers Day 2011
This was the first day I had the chance to take both of my kids out on my boat. What a great day! Weather was perfect and I managed to get both of them into a fish. After my daughter reeled in her 20 inch lake trout, I said, 'wow I cant believe you reeled him in all by yourself ". To my great liking she replied,"why dad, that's what i do!" This day on Round Valley I will never forget!
January 7th, I hope everyone got a chance to get out and enjoy the warmth, we did!
Myself and two other boats all hit Round Valley to see what was biting. Between the 3 boats we managed to land over 30 fish. This pic was a double header that started off the day on my boat. Check out the gallery for more pics and the forums for full reports.

Fish Reapers pay a visit to Altmar, NY, for some fall steelhead
The boys were back in town for some fall steelhead. We had a great time! Between the four of us we banked 20 fish and fought numerous others. Weather was great, water was perfect and the fish were more than obliging. Check out some more pics in our gallery. A special shout out to all of the new friends we made on the river. It is always a pleasure to meet some like-minded fishermen.
